PERMITS

The Avoyelles Parish Permitting Department ensures that all building codes adopted by the Parish Police Jury are enforced and compliant.  The department issues development and electrical permits parish wide. We also provide floodplain management for the unincorporated areas of the parish.

NOTICES

State and  Federal codes may require inspections by our official building inspector(s).

Permits are required for the following: 

Residential, Commercial, recreational, Farm, Storage Buildings, swimming pools, signs solar panel, generators, rental, water well, camps, additions, major renovations with or without utilities, purchasing  existing structure, electrical inspections and New Mobile Homes

Penalty fees will be added to permit fees if  Structures are placed and/or new construction has begun.
